Feyenoord during the match against ADO Den Haag this weekend probably will not be able to appeal to acquisition Uros Spajic. The central defender still has to wait for a work permit.
Before the transfer from Spajic to Rotterdam it was already known that the paperwork would take some time, but that this would not be arranged a week later comes as a surprise. The defender is not even allowed to train with his new club, says technical director Frank Arnesen On. “He has to collect a kind of player pass in Serbia and there is still a stamp to be put here, I understand”, Arnesen tells the Algemeen Dagblad.
The technical director is not satisfied with the state of affairs around Spajic. “I find it strange that a player that we have already signed more than a week ago is not allowed to use.” The chance is therefore small that Spajic will already be on the field next weekend during the match against ADO. Not good news for the Rotterdammers: the flush in the rearguard is thin due to a number of injuries.
