The German fashion and sports equipment group, Adidas has appointed Arnaud Jeangirard as brand director for Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and Greece. Arnaud Jeangirard joined his new role last March from the position of Brand Director Emerging Markets and will report to Mathieu Sidokpohou, Managing Director for the region.
The appointment comes after a reorganization of the management structure of the company, and after centralizing the control of its business in southern Europe in France. Jeangirard replaces Marta Ríos, who was General Manager for the Spanish market since 2017.
The new Adidas Brand Vice President for Southern Europe joined the German company in 2016 as head of the Originals, Yeezy and Action Sports business units. In February 2019, he was appointed Vice President of Adidas Brand in Emerging Markets.
Much of Jeangirard’s career has been in the VF group, specifically in Vans, where he joined in 2004 as director of marketing for the firm in France and Belgium. He has also been responsible for footwear and equipment, and director global marketing of Carhartt in 2013. Subsequently, the manager returned to Vans as head of merchandising of the brand in America, a position he held until December 2015.
