Army Public Library Calls for Book Donations to Expand Cultural Heritage

In order to increase and broaden the diversity of themes of the cultural heritage that is available in the Army Public Library, the 12th. Military Zone calls on the population to donate books in good condition, within the framework of the Sunday Walk that will take place on Sunday, September 3 at the facilities of the 40th Infantry Battalion.

With more than 26 years of service, currently, the Library has more than 23,700 copies of various subjects, it opens its doors daily to the general population, the idea is to increase the number of copies and also expand the topics to offer more variety to users.

On the Sunday ride on September 3, there will be an exhibition of trains from the time of the Mexican Revolution, a photographic exhibition, a demonstration of the training of Army dogs, and horses and ponies from the 8th Cavalry Corps of Rural Defenses will be available for that visitors can ride them.

The Command of the 12th. Military Zone in charge of Brigadier General DEM Mario Arturo Fuentes Guevara, invites minors to come dressed as the character they would like to be as adults: astronauts, doctors, nurses, firefighters, policemen, etc.

The general population is also invited to contribute to the 12th. Military Zone with some recreational or educational activity, you can go to the facilities of the military facilities located in the capital.

As in previous editions, the Sunday walk will bring together various activities of social proximity of military personnel with the civilian population, mainly with minors, the purpose is that they learn more about all the activities carried out by the Army and all its elements in favor of of the population.

One of the priorities within the activities of social proximity, is that the families know that the members of the Army are ordinary people like them and that they also have families, but that they have special preparation, training and missions, to ensure the security of people from all threats to their integrity, but mainly those that put the stability and sovereignty of the nation at risk.
