Army of the Dead is rerecorded for abuse allegation | NOW

By zombiefilm Army of the Dead will be rerecorded with Tig Notaro as a replacement for Chris D’Elia, reports Deadline Friday. D’Elia was charged with sexual misconduct in June.

Although the movie, directed by Zack Snyder, was already completely filmed and would be released in 2021, new footage is still being made. The new footage includes both actual multi-actor footage and Notaro acting opposite a partner on a green screen.

D’Elia was accused of sexually harassing a minor girl on social media in June. This was followed by multiple allegations, in which Netflix canceled its series and its management agency CAA broke off the partnership. The 40-year-old actor denies all allegations.

Army of the Dead is set after a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, where a group of mercenaries enter a quarantine zone to carry out the largest robbery ever.

Production of the Netflix film will resume as soon as it is safe under the corona measures. It is not yet known when the film will be released.
