As Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde stated before the meeting of EU ministers in Brussels, there are no plans to supply weapons to Ukraine from the Swedish side.
“We have very strict rules on arms exports, so this is not relevant for us. But we support Ukraine in many ways, primarily through a very high level of assistance in the field of reforms, which we consider to be one of the most important,” Linde said.
In addition, according to her, Sweden is not yet planning to apply for membership in NATO.
“Currently, we are really not going to apply for membership in NATO. There is no such issue on the agenda now,” Linde stressed and added that Sweden and Finland are close partners of NATO.
