“Recently the military campaign has become the target of attacks and attempts to discredit it. Those who are trying to do this are not telling the truth, they are manipulating and, unfortunately, they are only helping Russia. In the video, I explain how the campaign works and why everything these ‘critics’ claim is completely absurd,” said Prime Minister Petr Fiala, who sent video on the topic on social network X.
“The opposition and others want to abuse our successful military campaign. An initiative that has gained respect across Europe and helps to keep Russia as far away from our borders as possible. They will tell you that ammo is too much, that someone is making a lot of money from it, that it is just a PR event, that it will not help anything.
Don’t believe them, it’s not true. As part of the initiative, the weapon is sold and delivered at current prices on the international market and determined by supply and demand, no one else interferes with them and cannot ,” Prime Minister Fiala assures, and then explains in more detail how the purchase and supply of military works.
“Critics are not interested in the result, they are interested in throwing down a successful Czech campaign somehow, to get free points with part of the public, which they always share. And that at the price of helping Russia and Russian propaganda,” wrote the Prime Minister.

There were very critical responses under the video in the discussion.
Movement Member of Parliament Radek Vondráček (ANO) challenged the Prime Minister that the purchase of weapons raises doubts and warned Prime Minister Fiala not to “deceive people”. “Every time someone legitimately and substantively criticizes you, you accuse them of manipulating them and supporting Russia. It is already a shame! The military campaign was certainly commendable, but its execution is lame because you prioritized your own PR and bomb moves over effectiveness. By announcing the event strongly in advance, you raised the prices and Ukraine will get less weapons for more money. Do not apologize for bad attendance and others. In professional circles, everyone knows it, Senator Wagenknecht is not an opponent, and the prestigious Swiss newspaper, for example, evaluated everything objectively. Finally face something and stop misleading people,” wrote Vondráček.
After that, he took into account the claim of the German newspaper, mentioned by the server iRozhlas.cz, that is “the Czech company has increased the price of cartridges for Ukraine. And he said: “And what about this, Mr. Prime Minister? Would you rather delete the video? Vondráček challenged the Prime Minister.
“He wrote honestly. Whoever questions the military campaign – wait for it… If you were not the prime minister of this country, it would just be stupid,” said lawyer Tomáš Nielsen to Fial.
“How can criticism help Russia? Can you explain somehow?” debater Luděk Šťastný interrupted Petr Fiala’s statement. “And above all, some of your hit-and-miss military campaign is for our money rather in the back of my mind. In fact, if there was a referendum for it, or if you took it away from your income in the camp, the criticism from my side would be a little lower,” he said.
Other users mocked Fiala: “Professor, have you completely lost your mind? That is rhetoric, as for real soda. Don’t you want to go buy Nutella again?”
“Really, you have to have a good stomach for you, but the best conclusion is that the opposition is dividing society and helping Russia,” said Prime Minister Josef Musil.
According to the comments, some people see buying ammo as a good decision. Others were confused about the purchase of weapons, when money is needed especially for janitors, cooks, cons, pensioners and others.
Fiala was called a psychopath, a parasite and a liar.
On Monday, Petr Fiala announced that the Czech Republic has provided tens of millions of medium and large-caliber weapons to Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion. According to him, tens of thousands of pieces of weapons go to Ukraine every month.
