Arms embargo bypassed by Germany and France to supply military equipment to Russia

According to the publication, France and Germany, bypassing the embargo, delivered to Russia military equipment worth 273 million euros. Journalists suggest that the weapons received by Moscow can be used in the war against Ukraine.

“They sent (to Moscow – ed.) equipment, including bombs, rockets, missiles and cannons, despite the EU arms embargo on Russia, imposed after (occupation – ed.) of Crimea in 2014,” the newspaper notes .

It is also noted that at least 10 NATO member countries exported equipment from Russia for almost 350 million euros. At the same time, about 78% of the total was supplied to German and French companies.

Both Paris and Berlin have resisted the EU’s ban on gas purchases from Russia, and the bloc is currently paying Moscow a billion euros a day for energy supplies.
