Armoring saved the life of the CDMX Police chief; at least 28 gunmen attacked him

Mexico City- Four cells, with at least 28 hitmen, participated yesterday in the attack against the Chief of Police, Omar García Harfuch. The armor of his truck saved his life.

The intention of the criminals: to have the entire route covered – from Poniente to the Center – through which the command van and its convoy of protection would pass.

The ambush was at 6:38 am on Paseo de la Reforma and Monte Blanco.

Seven blocks away, on Monte Blanco and Explanada, was another cell. And one more in Hamburg and Florence, in Colonia Juárez, near the offices of the SSC.

With injuries to the clavicle, arm and knee, the command was transferred to a hospital. After an operation that lasted three hours, he was reported stable.

“We felt it was like hours, but seeing the chats I realize that it was not more than six minutes,” said Pamela Molinar, who lives a few meters from the ambush site.

At press time, at least 15 C5 monitors were questioned to determine if there were omissions in following up on the official convoy, which, by protocol, must be monitored to locate possible risks on the route.
