The Armor Wars series, scheduled for 2022, is slowly starting to take shape. Indeed, a few days ago the news spread: Yassir Lester is the screenwriter of this new series. This production on James Rhodes will be an opportunity to get to know the character better and to know more about him. Don Cheadle says about the series: “I think the most exciting is happening. I don’t think we really know who Rodhey is outside of the Avengers, his friendship with Tony, now he’s going to be a little detached from it all. So it’s a great opportunity. to really see him like you’ve never seen him before, to focus on him, his adventures, his past and prepare things for the future. “ So Rodhey’s story may not end after the series but will continue beyond it.. He also adds: “I think people will be surprised how the show will turn out.” clues that make us want to see the series very quickly.
Rodhey appeared this year in the Falcon and the Winter Soldier series, a way to introduce it in this phase 4. After seven films and series within the MCU, James Rhodes therefore has his first production as the main character. The plot still remains secret although one can imagine that Sharon Carter could be the antagonist of Armor Wars. Also appearing in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sharon Carter has been very close to the Avengers in the past. At the end of the series, we understand that she is leading a double game, would this be the occasion to see him in the series on James Rhodes? After the death of Tony Stark, the latter will have to ensure that his technology does not fall into the hands of dishonest people. Armor Wars will be a new era for Rodhey, will he become a mentor like Tony Stark was with Peter Parker or will he be an example? We imagine that the death of his friend Tony Stark will also be at the heart of Armor Wars as it could have been in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
