It was the second international competition of his career, but he showed that he has the potential to go far and in the medium term to get to the top of the podium.
The tennis player from the Chillán Table Tennis Association, representing Team Chile, Armin Rosas, gave the country the first medal in para table tennis at the Santiago 2023 Para Pan American Games.
This is because in the morning session on Sunday, Rosas marked a milestone for Santiago 2023 Class 11 table tennis by securing the bronze medal after completing his journey in the semifinal round.
Despite failing to enter the fight for gold, Rosas demonstrated his skill and abilities, facing Brazilian Thiago Simoes in a close semifinal.
The final score was 3-1 in favor of Simoes, with partial scores of 11-6, 6-11, 11-1 and 11-7. Despite the defeat, Rosas showed an outstanding performance and left everything in the competition.
