Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan commented on Russia’s dissatisfaction with Yerevan’s participation in the summit on the Ukrainian “peace formula”, which was held in Malta.

Details: Hovhannisyan said that the Russian Federation incorrectly characterized the meeting between the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan and the head of the office of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky Andrey Ermak in Malta.
Direct speech: “This platform is a platform for secretaries of security councils. I would not say that it was dedicated to the issue of Ukraine, there was a broader agenda. I think that such a qualification does not correspond to reality.”
This was preceded by: Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow views Armenia’s participation in the summit on the Ukrainian “peace formula” in Malta as a “demonstrative anti-Russian gesture.”
The third meeting on the Ukrainian “peace formula” in Malta, which lasted October 28-29, focused on issues of nuclear, food and energy security, as well as the release of prisoners and deportees and the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Participate in the meeting in person or remotely representatives of 66 countries – more than 20 more than in the previous meeting in Saudi Arabia. In a meeting Armenia took part for the first timehowever, China did not take part.
In September of this year, Armenia donated humanitarian aid to Ukraine for the first time – it was brought during the visit wife of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
Later, in early October, Pashinyan and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky met for the first time on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Granada.
