The Armenian Television and Radio Commission on Wednesday decided to revoke the license of the propaganda radio station Sputnik Armenia for 30 days due to derogatory statements by presenter Tigran Keosayan, the husband of Margarita Simonyan.
This is stated in the message on website regulator, writes “European Truth”.
The commission found that on November 17, in his program, Keosayan “in mocking and humiliating terms” commented on Armenia and the Armenian people, “giving assessments to which a political observer and presenter, who is a foreign citizen, has no moral right.”
“It was also recorded that during the broadcast unreliable or insufficiently reliable information received from unverified sources was voiced,” the regulator noted, without giving details.
The propaganda radio station itself saidthat Keosayan accused Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of betrayal, asking whether he would remain “alive” after this.

As a result, the Television and Radio Commission of Armenia suspended the license of the company that owns Sputnik Armenia for 30 days and fined it 500 thousand Armenian drams ($1,240).
Propaganda against the Armenian government in the Russian so-called media has intensified in recent months, when Yerevan increasingly began to talk about its intentions to get rid of excessive dependence on Moscow.
In September this led to a rare call from the Russian Ambassador to the Armenian Foreign Ministry in response to a manipulative program about Pashinyan on the Russian federal channel.
Previously, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan responded to statements by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs RF Maria Zakharova that the agreements of November 9 on Karabakh were not implemented largely because of Yerevan.
