Armenia recalled Viktor Biyagov from the post of permanent and plenipotentiary representative of the republic in the CSTO. The corresponding decree was published by the country’s President Vahagn Khachaturian.
“Recall Viktor Biyagov from the post of permanent and plenipotentiary representative of Armenia in the CSTO,” the presidential decree specifies. He published on the official website of the head of state. It is noted that this proposal was formed taking into account the proposal of the country’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the articles of the Armenian Constitution. Biyagova has been permanent representative since 2018.
The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated that Armenia would have to take into account all the risks if it decides to withdraw from the CSTO. After that, there was information that Pashinyan could substitute.
