PALM, 4 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The President of the Government, Francina Armengol, is traveling to Brussels this week to hold working meetings with the European Commissioner for Transport, Adina Valean, and the European Commissioner for Labor and Social Rights, Nicolas Schmit.
As reported by the regional executive, this Wednesday Armengol will meet with the European Commissioner for Transport to discuss different issues that affect the Islands, such as the specific needs related to insularity.
The meeting will also be attended by the Minister of Finance and Foreign Relations, Rosario Sánchez, the Minister of Economic Model, Tourism and Labor, Iago Negueruela, as well as the general directors of Foreign Relations and Maritime and Air Transport.
The same Wednesday, the president will also hold meetings with the European Confederation of Trade Unions and with Environmental Entities to explain the social and environmental aspects of the new tourism law.
On Thursday, the leader of the regional executive will meet with the European Commissioner for Labor and Social Rights, Nicolas Schmit, and will hold another meeting with the General Director of Tourism, Valentina Superti.
During the meetings it is planned to deal with different aspects of tourism and the labor news of the new tourism law.
Likewise, there will be parallel meetings within the agenda. Minister Rosario Sánchez will meet with those responsible for transport and cohesion of the Conference of Peripheral and Maritime Regions of Europe (CRPM) to discuss the so-called green pact and to detail the island strategy at European level.
