Police are looking for a gunman who opened fire while aboard a subway in Brooklyn mid-afternoon Saturday, authorities said.
The alleged gunman had some sort of argument with a 30-year-old passenger on a Line A train near Pitkin and Grant avenues around 3:10 p.m. It was unclear why they were fighting, but the dispute escalated.
The suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim, hitting her several times in the body before fleeing the scene, according to authorities. It was unclear where on the tracks the train was at the time or how the alleged shooter quickly exited.
The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but is expected to survive.
