- Large parts of the police force were at 21 o’clock about to leave the city where the action has taken place.
Large police forces have since the day before dinner been present at an address in Jølster in Sunnfjord, but on Wednesday night several of these were about to leave the city.
The background for the call was that a man showed a knife when the bailiff and a police patrol visited him at his home address,
– The police are present with the crews we think we need to solve the mission. I can not go into detail about what is happening there, said operations manager Stine Mjelde to NRK around kl. 18.30.
– But there is no reason for the public or people who are in Sunnfjord to be worried about what is going on, Mjelde added.
Dialog
At 6.30 pm, the operations leader stated that there was then no change in the situation compared to the previous press release from the police earlier on Wednesday.
– Now the police want to get control of the situation and will possibly come back with more information when we have it, Mjelde stated.
The suspect is on his way inside the house, calm in the city. An occasional dialogue has now been established between the police and suspects by telephone, wrote operations manager Frode Kolltveit in a press release earlier today.
It is uncertain how many people are in the house the man has entrenched himself in.
Suspects have not used any weapons, and no one has been injured or threatened, write the police.
The house is located in a wood near the E39 and there are no close neighbors.
MAJOR ACTION: Police officers from all over Sogn and Sunnfjord were sent to Jølster on Wednesday morning in connection with the armed action.

The police beat the iron ring around the house if the situation should escalate. No one was reported injured.
– More and more police officers came to the house. An ambulance also arrived, eyewitnesses told NRK.
The house is located just off the E39, but the traffic passes as normal.
– The police have a number of resources in the area, and one hopes to be able to solve the mission via dialogue with suspects in a good way, the police wrote in a press release earlier Wednesday.
