Webber has been monitoring the swans for years and has taken steps to keep natural predators like alligators and snakes away. However, upon receiving the disturbing video that showed men with nets trying to capture the swans, he reported the incident. on their social networks.

What was the incident with the swans in Cutler Bay like?
The video taken by a neighbor of the community showed how three men got dangerously close to the family of swans: “They were very close to taking the entire family,” Webber said.
When residents tried to confront the suspected poachers to protect the birds, one of them showed a gun as a warning.
“Fortunately, one of my neighbors was able to confront them, called the police and got them to back away,” added the animal lover in an interview with 7News.
Although the situation was handled without serious incident and none of the swans were injured, Webber remains concerned for his and the swans’ well-being: “They know where I live. “They threatened me saying that they were going to come back, they just want to come and kill them,” he expressed anguishedly.
