The Ukrainian defenders found the weak point of the enemy and struck with the help of the Himars MLRS.
The commander of the “Vostok” battalion of the RF Armed Forces (until 2023, representatives of the formation claimed that they were part of the so-called “People’s Militia of the DPR”) Alexander Khodakovsky spoke about the successful strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Russian command post of an armed formation in the area of Vuhledar, Donetsk region. The corresponding post was posted in Telegram– the officer’s channel.
According to Khodakovsky, the Ukrainian defenders tried to move to the left of Vuhledar, but the Russian invaders allegedly repulsed the attack, and as a result, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had to return to their original positions.
Further, Oleksandr Khodakovsky said that the Ukrainian military attacked the command post of Vostok with the help of Himars MLRS, which led to the death of a staff officer named Andriy.
Khodakovsky noted that the day before he spoke about the destruction of headquarters, where he repeated “his old mantra.” According to him, if the army headquarters is destroyed, then the battle will continue for a long time, but if the battalion headquarters is liquidated, the battle will quickly subside.
The whole reason is that it is the headquarters of the battalion that is the authority that is involved in several processes at once. This includes management, and the collection of analytics about what is happening, and much more.
“All other headquarters build their understanding of the current moment mainly from battalion-level reports. The enemy, of course, inflicted damage on us, but we understood that we were vulnerable, and therefore had duplicate communication and control channels, so if he expected to paralyze the defense on our section – he did not succeed. He learned to fight, but so did we, “said one of Alexander Khodakovsky.

Recall that on February 12, British intelligence noted that in two weeks Russia suffered the biggest losses since the beginning of the war.
