Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol Mathius Fahiri confirmed that one of the leaders of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) Joni Botak died in the Tembagapura-Intan Jaya area, Central Papua. Joni was killed by fellow KKB because he was accused of being a spy.

“Security forces have closed access to Tembagapura so that Joni Botak returned to Intan Jaya who was later killed by the KKB group led by Lewis Kogoya,” said Kapolda Inspector General Pol Fakhiri.
