ZACATECAS, Zac., October 13 (EL UNIVERSAL).- This Sunday afternoon an armed attack was recorded against two men in the Plaza Bicentenario, located in the heart of the central area of the capital of Zacatecas, one lost his life and the other more was injured. The authority has reported that one of the victims is originally from the state of Durango.
The events were recorded around 2:00 p.m. before the eyes of many people, which caused alarm when the shots were heard, since this place, which is a point of high concentration of people, because it is one of the main stops of urban trucks, in addition to being a large parking lot and an area full of fixed and semi-fixed businesses.
According to the information issued by the Spokesperson of the State Peace and Security Table, after receiving the report that there were people injured by a firearm projectile, a strong security operation was deployed in Plaza Bicentenario.
Upon arrival, security corporations and Civil Protection elements confirmed that one man lost his life and another was injured, who was taken to receive medical attention.
The official report from the Spokesperson’s Office states that “according to the first investigations, the deceased victim was allegedly related to activities for the sale of illicit substances, in addition to the fact that, during the care of the victims, doses of a granulated substance with characteristics of the drug known as crystal and probable marijuana. One of the victims is originally from the State of Durango.”
The authorities have mentioned that the situation is under control and that this important security operation is being carried out in order to locate those responsible.
