Arma Reforger leaked, coming to consoles for the first time

An Arma livestream can be seen on May 17, but it doesn’t seem to be very exciting anymore if this leak is correct. An intermediate part called Arma Reforger is said to have been leaked.

On May 17th Bohemia Interactive is hosting a livestream for the Arma series, and the content has reportedly already been leaked. In marketingdocumenten circulating on the Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddit, the game is called Arma Reforger, with some details on it.

Arma Reforger is the first Arma game to come to consoles (previous and current generation), and according to the documents, this intermediate part is being released deliberately for Arma 4 to introduce console users to the Arma series. Reforger is to “test new technologies and design choices” that “build the foundation of Arma 4”. The game runs on the new Enfusion engine, just like the sequel.

The arrival of Reforger offers the developer an opportunity to change its social media strategy and appeal to a wider audience, the documents say. It will be a “multi-platform title”; a “premium product with a stable and appropriate price”. There should be “in-game purchases” in the future, but no DLCs or microtransactions are planned yet.

The war game will be set during the Cold War during the 1980s. Players start a “military career” on the side of the United States or the Soviet Union; the goal is to conquer Everon Island. Arma Reforger is described as “military simulation game”, “tactical military shooter” and “military sandbox”.

Reforger is said to be getting multiplayer, with both competitive and cooperative gameplay. The game features three factions, six vehicles (with eighteen variants), fifteen weapons, two grenade types, and thirteen dedicated combat roles. There will also be a Game Master scenario editor, a multiplatform Workshop and mod support in Arma Reforger.

Arma Reforger is reportedly coming to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. No release date has been mentioned.
