Explorer and builder of adventure yachts, Arksen has appointed Dominic Byrne as his new Director of Sales and Marketing.
Byrne brings over 25 years of experience in the luxury marine and data communications industries to this newly created role, where he will provide practical leadership and develop sales and marketing strategies to penetrate the domestic and international market. .
Starting out in the computer industry, Byrne worked in Europe and the United States with start-ups that were pioneering data communications but needed help moving from their inception to their listing on the NASDAQ index. .
“The dot com wave of 2009 gave me the opportunity to work for some successful IPOs and it ultimately allowed me to pursue my passion for yachting and start a career in the marine industry. luxury goods with one of Sunseeker’s leading European distributors, ”says Byrne. Leaving the company in XNUMX, Byrne held several leadership positions in the industry, including those with Ahoy Club and Gulf Craft.
More recently, and before joining Arksen, Byrne helped launch an upscale lifestyle company specializing in yacht co-ownership.
“I was just captivated by Arksen’s story and the more I read about its founder Jasper Smith, the more inspired I was,” says Byrne. “I immediately felt an affinity with the company’s ethics, its commitment to sustainability and the work it does to help better understand and protect the oceans. My immediate goals are to secure an order for the next Arksen 85 (hull # 3) and to land the first order for the Arksen 65 series.

“In the longer term, the goal is to help build the brand’s reputation as the exploration yacht of choice in the 20 to 30 meter range and, in parallel, to develop the market opportunity for a series of Arksen adventure ships under 45 feet. “

Arksen Acting Sales Manager John Solomon is currently handing over to Byrne in line with the company’s on-track growth strategy, after a successful 23-month tenure in this role. Solomon will continue to support the company’s sales efforts during this next phase of development, alongside its core business at Seven Superyachts.
In addition to Byrne’s appointment, Arksen created and filled five new roles. These include Rob Vankalsbeek as Technical Project Manager, Donald Hung as Digital Marketing Manager, Sonia Jackson as Communications and Events Manager, George Johnson as Project Engineer and Matthew Morgan as client project manager.
