Arkia Airlines will launch a new flight route to Goa in India. The flights will start in November, once a week, on Wednesdays on a shortened flight path, in less than 5.5 hours, that will pass over Saudi Arabia. The short path is made possible thanks to Abraham’s agreements.
India is one of the favorite destinations of Israelis, especially for young people after the army, and also for adults looking for spirituality and meditation. Goa is one of the Indian states on the coast of the ocean. Goa is known for its charming beaches that attract sorrows, and in the last decade, luxurious resorts for families have also opened there, at relatively cheap prices. Therefore, the success of the new line should be expected.
Arkia’s VP of Marketing and Digital, Tamar Garzon, says: “Goa is not only a destination for post-military backpackers, it has the qualities of an exotic destination that is also suitable for families, and in addition it is an excellent starting point for a trip to southern India. Arkia makes the destination accessible to Israelis with minimal flight time Directly, this is an opportunity to enjoy the summer in our winter.’
