Here’s what you need to know about crossplay in Ark: Survival Evolved. It exists, but it has a series of limitations that should be known if we want to play with friends.
Ark: Survival Evolved is a Survival game in which you will have enough to face all the dinosaurs and creatures on the map. However, you should keep in mind that also has online functions. Is there crossplay? How does it work?
Ark: Survival Evolved has crossplay (the possibility that players of one platform play with those of another), but it is quite a limited system. Its operation is as follows:
- PS4: compatible with Steam version (requires special server).
- PS5: For now, the game does not have a PS5 version, so you will be playing the PS4 version.
- Xbox One: compatible with the PC version of Microsoft Store.
- Xbox Series X|S: as in the case of PS5, it is the Xbox One version, but with certain visual and performance improvements. Same compatibilities.
- PC (Microsoft Store): compatible with Xbox version.
- Steam: compatible with the Epic Games Store version (requires a special server).

In all the cases where we mention that a special server is needed, we mean that it is necessary to mount a dedicated server, with a number of special modifications (not to be confused with mods) and that, in addition, no admite mods of any kind. To make matters worse, in all cases where this type of server is needed, the quality of the connection will suffer, so the experience will be pretty bad.
