State Farm Stadium, home of the Cardinals, will host the third Super Bowl in its history
The Arizona Cardinals, through their account Twitter, they announced that The NFL has designated State Farm Stadium as the venue for Super Bowl LVII to be held next Sunday, February 12, 2023, making it the fourth time in history that ‘The Grand Canyon State’ receives the game by Vince Lombardi to enter an exclusive roster.
This Wednesday morning, the National Conference as a whole, together with the organizing committee, announced the determination by the league that, for the next campaign, it will have its last commitment at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California, enclosure which is home to the Rams and the Chargers.
State Farm Stadium has been home to great sporting events throughout its history as it has defined the national champion of college football on several occasions with the Fiesta Bowl, but the NFL has also chosen him for a pair of Super Bowls since it was inaugurated.
The New England Patriots have disputed the two commitments for Vince Lombardi that have been carried out there since in the XLII edition, with the perfect season on the line, they lost to the New York Giants and later, seven years later, they collected ” revenge “by obtaining one of the most dramatic victories in history by beating the Seattle Seahawks with the unrivaled interception of Malcolm Butler.
Now, eight years after that game, he will once again host the monarch of the National Conference and the American Conference to define the NFL champion.
Unless it becomes official, in 2024 New Orleans, Louisiana will be the successor to the game that will be held at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, home of the Cardinals that for this season they hired one of the main figures of the NFL in JJ Watt.
Arizona, with the game to be held in 2023, will be the fifth venue to host at least four Super Bowls, joining South Florida, New Orleans, Los Angeles and Tampa Bay.
