Arizona Grand Jury Indicts Trump Campaign Lawyers and Aides for Election Fraud

New York, April 24 (EFE).- A grand jury in Arizona this Wednesday indicted several lawyers and aides linked to the 2020 presidential campaign of former President Donald Trump (2017-2021) for serious crimes related to their alleged efforts to impeach the Joe Biden’s. influence in that state’s presidential elections, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.

Those charged include Mark Meadows, Trump’s former White House Chief of Staff; lawyers Rudy Giuliani (also a former mayor of New York), Jenna Ellis, John Eastman and Christina Bobb; top Trump campaign adviser Boris Epshteyn and former campaign aide Mike Roman.

The indictment, which includes serious charges of conspiracy, fraud and forgery, describes Trump – this year’s Republican presidential candidate – as an unauthorized supporter.

“The defendants and their unlicensed co-conspirators intended to block the legal movement of the Presidency to keep the unknown co-president in office against the will of the voters of Arizona,” the legal document states. noting.

A group of local Republicans are also accused of signing documents in December 2020 that falsely claimed Trump was the rightful winner.
