Libreville, Monday January 8, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – The plot allocation ceremony to the agents took place on December 29, 2023 at the New Owendo International Port.
Happy are those like the 80 Arise agents on duty at Gabon Special Economic Zone (GSEZ), Libreville Airport (ADL), the New International Port of Owendo (NOIP) and the Ore Port of Owendo (OMP) ended the year 2023 in style. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, on December 29, 2023, they received 8.5 hectares of land with land titles in the commune of Owendo. They received their precious sesame during a ceremony by Igor Simard, country director of Arise, and organized at the New International Port of Owendo.
For the managers of this multinational, this gesture marks the fulfillment of a promise made to staff. “We offer this land so that our employees can also build and give their families a path,” underlined Igor Simard. Top management also took the opportunity to educate everyone on the award criteria. “These lands were allocated to our employees of Gabonese nationality who have a certain seniority in the group and who meet the group’s criteria of excellence,” he underlined. For their part, the beneficiaries appreciated the offer at its fair value. “I subscribed and I believed in my business, and it’s a very good entry into 2024 for me. I will soon be able to build and I will no longer be a tenant,” rejoiced Cornelia Mengue, human resources manager at NOIP. “Today, we are beneficiaries of land with a land title. Which is not the case for everyone. It has become complicated to obtain land at affordable prices in Gabon,” underlined Joséphine Edith Avome Bekale, interview coordinator at ADL.
