With two goals from Loren Moron, Aris easily defeated Lamia 2-0 (on the return of Vokolos to their bench) at “Kleanthis Vikelidis” for the 7th matchday of the Super League and climbed at least temporarily to the top of the standings together with AEK.
As soon as in the 4th minute, Moron opened the scoring with a header from a foul cross by Monsou. In the 8th minute, Diadi missed a unique opportunity to make it 2-0. Lamia had a great chance to equalize with a nice effort and shot by Guido in the 25th minute. Sifuentes’ shot went wide in the 30th minute and in the 43rd minute, Moron, the league’s top scorer, made it 2-0 with a strong shot. This was the Spaniard’s 6th goal in La Liga.
In the second half and in the 50th minute, the referee awarded a penalty to Moron after Kornezos was flagged, but the VAR was called and he took back the hint.
In the 65th minute, Moron’s goal was disallowed by a cross from Juancar who was in an offside position.
