Neymar and Jorge Jesus, his coach at Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, are said to have had an argument after the Brazilian’s first game.
This emerges from several Saudi media reports. Accordingly, the coach reprimanded Neymar after he played poorly and made an acting appearance on his debut last Monday in the Asian Champions League (1-1 against Navbahor Namangan from Uzbekistan).
According to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, there was little chance of a physical altercation between player and coach. Neymar is then said to have called for Jesus to be fired.
The next day there was also a meeting between those responsible for Al-Hilal and Jesus’ advisors. The coach was apparently warned about further setbacks. After seven match days, Al-Hilal is still undefeated in second place in the table after five wins and two draws.
