Vice-President of Newell’s Old Boys, rival in the Argentine league, Christian Damico, confirmed that his club is planning to include Argentine flea Lionel Messi.

Messi had alluded to his desire to return to his homeland when he was nearing the end of his football career while reports in Catalonia indicate that the player’s family is happy in Spain and is not planning to return to Argentina.
Damiko said: “As a fan, I have a dream of Leo coming home, and this is something he publicly stated because he loves this club so much.”
He added: “Messi’s statements were not a simple thing, but they clarify what the club means to him.”
He continued: “In my opinion, if Messi returns to Newell’s Old Boys one day, he will have fulfilled the dream of all Argentines in seeing him in our league.”
And on the possibilities of this happening: “If there is any possibility for him to come here, then this depends on his father, and we have to be ready.”
He continued: “We love him very much and we know that this club is his home, he is very liked, as well as in Barcelona because of everything he has given them during the past years.”
