The duel between the Argentina U-17 National Team vs the Germany U-17 National Team in the semifinals of the 2023 U-17 World Cup ended in a 3-3 draw. The match continued into a penalty shootout.

The Argentina vs Germany duel was fierce and interesting from the start. Germany first opened the scoring through Paris Brunner in the ninth minute.

Brunner succeeded in carrying out individual action by dribbling the ball into the penalty box. After that, Brunner fired a shot from a tight angle which the Argentine goalkeeper, Jeremias Florentin, couldn’t catch perfectly.

Germany’s lead was then successfully destroyed by Argentinian striker, Agustin Ruberto. Ruberto scored two goals and gave Argentina a 2-1 lead in the first half.

Ruberto’s first goal came in the 36th minute. Ruberto fired a hard shot from close range using a pass from Dylan Gorosito.

Meanwhile, Ruberto’s second goal was scored in injury time. Receiving a pass from Valentino Acuna, Ruberto made a feint and then fired a hard shot that the opposing goalkeeper couldn’t stop.

Behind 1-2 in the first half, Germany tried to recover in the second half.

Germany finally succeeded in equalizing the score to 2-2 through Brunner. Brunner got the ball after Florentin made the wrong pass and it was received by Brunner.

Brunner then dribbled the ball towards the goal and fired a shot into the left corner of the goal without Florentin being able to stop it.

Germany was finally able to take the lead again in this match in the 69th minute. Max Moerstedt managed to break into Argentina’s goal taking advantage of an error in Argentina’s back line.

This goal started from a cross released by Noah Darvich into the penalty box. Juan Villalba, who tried to block the ball, failed to do so.

The ball actually went to Moerstedt. Moerstedt immediately headed the ball into the goal.

After winning 3-2, Germany looked increasingly confident. They continued to apply tight pressing towards Argentina.
