Argentina, the first country in the region to apply the anticovid vaccine from 6 months of age

The Argentine government announced that it will begin to apply the anticovid vaccine in children between 6 months and 3 years from the end of the month.

This Friday, Argentine President Alberto Fernández reported that his country will be the first in Latin America and one of the first in the world to give the dose against Covid-19 to children from 6 months of age.

The Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, communicated the news to the president, after advancing with Moderna for authorization by the National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT).

Argentina will receive on July 25, 1,400,000 pediatric doses “to start the scheme for children between 6 months and 3 years, and for reinforcement between 3 and 4 years,” Fernández reported.

“Vaccines are safe and necessary,” said the head of state.
