Argentina’s Ministry of Health confirmed today the death of a patient suffering from mpox (formerly known as “monkeypox” or monkeypox).
The patient is Argentina’s first death from mpox, who died in a Buenos Aires hospital.
The patient was a 44-year-old male diagnosed with HIV-AIDS and died of infectious shock.
This was revealed by the ministry. The patient has been hospitalized since mid-September. with the use of a respirator and passed away Nov. 22.
Argentina has 895 cases of mpox, with the majority in Buenos Aires.
