Argentina surpassed the barrier of 50,000 deaths from coronavirus on Friday, while a new shipment with more doses of Sputnik V vaccines arrived in the country from Russia.
The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported that 155 people died from coronavirus, bringing the number of deaths to 50,029 since the COVID pandemic was declared. With this figure, it ranks 13th among countries with the most deaths.

A plane from the state Aerolineas Argentina, from Moscow with 400,000 doses, landed in the afternoon at the Ezeiza international airport. With this flight, the fourth since the operation began at the end of December, the South American country received a total of 1.2 million doses, a figure that is well below the almost 10 million that the government hoped to apply for January.
Due to the delay in the only vaccine that is currently being applied in Argentina, the vaccination of all health personnel has not yet been completed. In a next stage, those over 60 will begin.
