In Europe, the national teams of Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Spain, Serbia, Croatia, England, Switzerland and the Netherlands, as well as the Qatari national team, previously took the place of the final tournament.
The winners of 10 groups from the European area entered the World Cup final, while the second place winners and the two best teams of the League of Nations, who did not finish in the first two places in the group, will compete for three more tickets in the qualifying tournament.
In Europe, the first round of the elimination round will be drawn on November 26, and the games will take place in March 2022. The teams placed in the draw will be Italy, Portugal, Scotland, Russia, Sweden and Wales, while Turkey, Poland, Northern Macedonia, the Czech Republic, Austria and Ukraine were among those not entered.
The Latvian national team finished the World Cup qualification on Tuesday with victory over the guests over Gibraltar, but even before the last game in group G could not rise above the penultimate -5.- place.
The final of the World Cup in 2022 in Qatar will take place from November 21 to December 18.
