Argentina This Tuesday there is a new day of strike in transport as a demand for salary improvements in a context of high inflation and loss of purchasing power of workers’ salaries.
The Automotive Tram Union (UTA) and the Argentine Association of Automotive Transport Companies (AAETA) They are carrying out a 24-hour strike that affects a good part of the country, although it was called throughout the national territory, except in the province of Buenos Aires.
Precisely, the call for this day of strike seeks to ensure that the salary improvements of workers in these provinces can be compared to those of Buenos Aires, the most populated in the entire country.
The agreement reached in the last few hours by the unions in some provinces has made the monitoring uneven.
Ten provinces do not have any type of service: Jujuy, Catamarca, The Rioja, San Juan, ChacoCurrents and Between rivers, Black river, Santa Cruz y Land of Fireaccording to local media.
In three others, Santa Fe, Neuquen y Chubut, there is circulation in some locations in the province; and in the rest of the country the service is provided normally.
In the statement calling for the strike, the unions reported that “after two months of hearing at the National Secretariat of Labor”, there was “no salary offer”, which is why this forceful measure was carried out.
