MADRID, 24 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of Argentina, Javier Milei, has described as “fiscal degenerates” the opposition regional governors who demand a greater delivery of funds from the central government and who have intensified their criticism in recent hours.
Milei has responded forcefully to the warning issued by the governor of Chubut, Ignacio Rodríguez, who threatened to cut off the supply of gas and oil starting next Wednesday due to the fall of the so-called ‘co-participation’.
“Nachito, don’t make drama, we are going to resolve it in court,” responded Milei, who challenged the governor of Chubut not to wait until next Wednesday, immediately cut off supplies and abide by the judicial consequences that this entails. .
To “unmask the lie” of the “degenerate prosecutors”, Milei’s office has released a statement in which it explains that the money that Chubut is missing, about 13.5 billion pesos (about 14.9 million euros), correspond to a debt with the Provincial Development Trust Fund.
“By the rules for issuing said debt, its collection is carried out by direct discount of the co-participation,” explained the Government, which has reiterated its commitment to reduce public spending and fight against “waste.”
“The Argentine people elected President Javier Milei to end the privileges of the caste, and that is what is going to happen,” he added, directly accusing Torres of issuing threats of a “Chavista nature” with the support of other Peronist colleagues. .
On social networks, Milei has charged against all of them: “Seeing how the entire caste that has ruined the lives of good Argentines all get together to defend their obscene privileges with sky-high poverty makes me sick.”
