As the second wave of the pandemic continues in Argentina, a record number of new Covid-19-related deaths were recorded on Thursday, the Ministry of Health said.
According to the ministry, 537 Covid-19-related deaths were registered in South America in 24 hours.

27,216 new infections with the Covid-19 virus have been confirmed, and this figure is also one of the highest in the country over the past year.
Weeks ago, the Argentine government introduced strict quarantine regimes and restrictions in many parts of the country.
In the agglomeration of the capital Buenos Aires, a curfew is in force from 8 pm to 6 am.
The exception is only for those working in key sectors.
Social, sporting, cultural and religious activities on the premises are prohibited.
Schools and kindergartens are closed until the end of April.-
