An Argentine official said that his country’s government intends to slowly and gradually raise electricity prices, focusing on families with greater economic capacity.
Today, Saturday, Bloomberg News quoted the official, without revealing his name, that the government does not have a specific date on which it will start discussing raising electricity prices with companies.
The official said the government may give companies information on families with less financial means.
The government expects an increase in economic activity and the ability to absorb monetary expansion that will allow the country to avoid a jump in inflation.
Earlier, Argentina said that the International Monetary Fund agreed on the need to develop the capital market.
