On Friday, Argentina extended restrictions aimed at curbing the Corona outbreak until September 20, and President Alberto Fernandez warned that the epidemic is now spreading “to the whole country.”
In a video message, Fernandez said that the infection was previously focused on the capital, Buenos Aires, but that the 18 provinces are now areas of persistent community infection.
On Friday, the government confirmed that the death toll from the Coronavirus had risen to 392,919, and the death toll had risen to 8,271.
Various restrictions will be maintained, however, Fernandez announced that up to 10 people will be allowed to gather in open spaces while adhering to safety measures.
Argentina has been under restrictions to curb the coronavirus outbreak since late March.
“If we are sluggish, then there is no health system that can withstand the stress,” Fernandez warned.
