On Monday, Argentina became the second country in South America to cross the million mark of coronavirus cases.
And the Argentine Ministry of Health announced the registration of 12,982 new cases of Coronavirus yesterday, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 1002,662, the fifth largest number of cases in the world.
The South American country also recorded 451 new deaths during the past 24 hours, raising the number of deaths to more than 26,700 since the outbreak began.
Brazil was the first country in South America to cross the million mark last June. Since then, the number of injuries in the country has increased to more than 5.2 million, after the United States, which recorded 8.1 million cases and India 7.5 million cases.
