(CNN) – The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Argentine government, Santiago Cafiero, said this Monday that the country reached 30 million 400,000 vaccines against covid-19 received, and that it was possible to reach that figure after the arrival of three planes with doses of different pharmaceuticals.
He explained that the country received 733,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, 768,000 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine and 550,000 doses of Sputnik V.

“We have reached this figure, which is a very important figure because it continues to generate great expectations to turn the page of the nightmare of the pandemic,” Cafiero told the media after receiving the last of the flights at the Ezeiza airport .
“With these vaccines we will be arriving by the month of July to cover 50% of the population with at least one dose (…) we will be able to recover our life, the life we want, recover work, production, industry, construction, economic activity ”, he added.
So far, Argentina has applied 25 million 254,280 vaccines against the coronavirus, of which 20 million 178,596 correspond to one dose and 5 million 75,684 people with the two doses, according to the portal of the Ministry of Health. The health authorities also report that until this Monday they have confirmed a total of 4 million 662,937 cases and 99,255 people died from causes related to the coronavirus.
