This Wednesday, July 31, in the morning of our country, the second match of the Argentine men’s volleyball team was played, with the participation of the two San Juan volleyball players who are in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The Argentine team, after losing in its debut against the United States, faced the Asian team from Japan and was defeated by 3 to 1, with partial scores of 16-25, 22-25, 25-18 and 23-25.
Sanjuaninos Bruno Lima and Matías Sánchez added minutes in the match. Lima was a starter and scored 16 points; Sánchez started on the bench, relieved captain De Cecco in some passages, but did not score. Facundo Conte was the top scorer for the Albiceleste with 19 points; Yuji Nishida, with 21, the highest for Japan and for the match.
Argentina’s last Olympic match will be against Germany on Friday, August 2, starting at 4 a.m. in our country. The Argentines must win by 3-0 or 3-1 and wait for the results of the other matches.
