Argentina coach announces tango squad for Paraguay and Peru

Lionel Scaloni, the coach of the Argentine national football team, announced the team’s list for the next two matches scheduled against Paraguay and Peru in the South American qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.

The Argentine national team will host the Paraguay national team next Thursday evening (Friday morning GMT) and then visit the Peruvian national team on the following Tuesday evening (Wednesday morning GMT).

The Argentine national team had won its first two matches against Ecuador 1-0 and Bolivia 2-1 to share the lead with its Brazilian counterpart, with 6 points each.

The list that Scaloni chose and which the Argentine Federation published on its website on Thursday evening included:

Goalkeeper: Emiliano Martinez and Justin Marchesen.

In defense: Nihon Perez, Nicholas Otamendi, Facundo Medina, Lucas Martinez Quarta, Nicholas Taliavico and Walter Kahneman.

In midfield: Rodrigo de Paul, Marcos Acuna, Nicolas Dominguez, Roberto Pereira, Alejandro Gómez, Angel de María, Lucas Ocampos, Leandro Paredes, Ezequiel Palacios, Giovanni Le Celso and Guido Rodriguez.

And in the attack: Lucas Alario, Lionel Messi, Paulo Dybala, Joaquin Correa, Nicholas Gonzalez and Lautaro Martinez.
