Argentine TV channel CNN reported that Argentine medical experts have begun testing a new human vaccine for ultra-immune, coronavirus infection.

This Argentine serum, which is uniquely described, will be tested on 241 people, and it is intended against moderate to severe coronavirus infection, and scientists hope to obtain preliminary results within three months, according to the website “Russia Today” news.

The channel reported that the National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology of Argentina approved last Friday the test of this serum in humans, as a result of “the effectiveness that appeared during laboratory tests.”

This serum is known as a form of passive immunization, which works by inserting antibodies into patients to stop infection or prevent its spread.

This serum is similar to the way it works, drugs used to treat snake bites or scorpions, or to treat tetanus and rabies.

Research conducted last June showed that serum immunosuppressants had a treatment capacity 50 times higher than that of plasma from patients recovering from Covid-19.

In parallel, vaccines for coronavirus infection are being developed in many countries of the world, including Russia, the United States, China, India, Italy, Germany and Japan, among others.
