The Argentina soccer team will begin their training next Monday, preparing for the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. In this double day, they will face Ecuador and Bolivia.
Under the direction of Lionel Scaloni, the ‘Albiceleste’ training sessions will begin on Monday afternoon, behind closed doors. On Tuesday, access to accredited media will be allowed during the last 15 minutes of practice.

The Argentine Football Association reported that Scaloni will offer a press conference on Wednesday, followed by another training session behind closed doors.
On Thursday, Argentina will face Ecuador at River Plate’s Estadio Mas Monumental in Buenos Aires, with a capacity for 84,000 spectators. Later, they will prepare to face Bolivia on September 12 at the Hernando Siles stadium in La Paz.
Lionel Messi, champion in Qatar 2022, leads the squad along with prominent players such as Lucas Beltrán from Fiorentina, Alan Velasco from FC Dallas, Bruno Zapelli and Lucas Esquivel from the Brazilian Paranaense. Marcos Acuña is the only confirmed casualty due to injury.
The 2026 World Cup, which will be played in Canada, the United States and Mexico, will feature 48 teams, an increase from the previous 32. This will result in 104 games in 39 days, including a new round of 16 round.
