The Argentine government has authorized the emergency use of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against the Coronavirus, according to a publication in the government newspaper today, Wednesday.
According to Bloomberg News, an Argentine Airlines plane flew to Moscow on Tuesday to get the vaccine.
The Argentine government announced earlier this month that President Alberto Fernandez will be the first to be vaccinated, according to Bloomberg.
Fernandez said on the tenth of this month that the government plans to vaccinate about ten million Argentines before next March, when his government celebrates the first anniversary of its assumption of the ruling ceremony in the country.
He added that there is an option to boost the campaign with an additional 5 million doses in March.
