An Argelésien testifies …
– “Yesterday morning, like every Wednesday, I went to the Argelès market, in the village. And I could see:
– Social distancing: zero. People congregate in front of the traders’ stalls.
– Wearing a mask: many do not wear it, and quite a few wear it badly.

My son who came to see us for Christmas wanted to buy some local products in a store (…). The operator does not wear the mask, he does not have a license plate. Plexiglas protection. He had the misfortune to ask her to put on a mask. Responnse : “You break my balls, I’m vaccinated”…

However, we must, we must tell you Mister the Marquis, we deplore a very small nothing: everywhere else, on the Catalan coast, the elected officials have taken their responsibilities, even ensuring that to the strict application of government measures linked to the coronavirus health crisis, or even canceling all festive events altogether as the New Year approaches. Ironically, it’s in the Prime Minister’s department, Jean Castex, himself, where Argelès-sur-Mer is located, that it would seem that we are particularly lax with the law; “Do what I say, but (above all) not what I do”…
