According to a central security police source with whom the newspaper spoke, the Pakistani police must have followed him for a few days before deciding to arrest and take him away.
Bhatti is said to have been arrested on Monday evening by a police counter-terrorism unit. He will not be formally arrested, but arrested as part of the investigation, writes Aftenposten.
Bhatti’s lawyer Svein Holden tells the newspaper that he is unaware of Bhatti being in custody.
He will remain in custody in Gujrat.
The Oslo police reported last week on Friday Bhatti is sought after internationally.
