The world-famous American singer, pianist and composer Aretha Franklin celebrated her 70th birthday with a spectacular show, many friends and shared the news of a new album.
Among the guests were one of the most famous American TV presenters, Diane Sawyer, and Willie Wilkerson, Franklin’s longtime companion and recently her fiancé. Wilkerson helped Franklin cut her three-tier lime green cake as everyone sang Stevie Wonder’s version of Happy Birthday, the AP reports.
Franklin will record his new album with his longtime friend and mentor Clive Davis.
